We are outraged that the United States has sent Israel more than $30 billion in taxpayer-funded weapons since October 2023 to commit genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. We are asking that you immediately sign on as a cosponsor for H.R.3565, the Block the Bombs Act.

Israel has killed at least 75,000 Palestinians in its genocidal violence. It has destroyed health clinics and hospitals, schools and universities, mosques and churches. It has forcibly displaced more than 90% of the population from their homes. Palestinians are suffering in every way imaginable. H.R.3565 would proactively block the Trump administration from delivering the major weapons Israel has used in this mass killing — bombs, tank rounds, and artillery shells.   Blocking these weapons is both the moral thing to do and the legal thing to do. U.S. law prohibits weapons transfers to any country that blocks humanitarian aid, engages in systematic patterns of gross human rights violations, or uses weapons for purposes other than internal security and legitimate self-defense. Israel is clearly violating all three standards.

We hope you will use your powerful position in Congress to uphold U.S. law and basic human decency. Please co-sponsor H.R.3565 and help end our government's role in this genocide.
