Republicans have wasted $4.6 Million in American taxpayer dollars pursuing a vicious partisan driven witch-hunt against the leading Democratic contender for the presidency, Hillary Rodham Clinton. This is a gross abuse of public funds and it needs to stop!

The House Select Committee on Benghazi has been exposed as a partisan sham by Republicans themselves. Take this comment from Republican House Majority Leader, Kevin McCarthy, on national television:

"Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she's untrustable. But no one would have known any of that had happened had we not fought."

Then in a radio interview another Republican Congressman, Richard Hanna, publicly admitted that the Benghazi committee was set up to take down Hillary Clinton:

"Sometimes the biggest sin you can commit in D.C. is to tell the truth. This may not be politically correct, but I think that there was a big part of this investigation that was designed to go after people and an individual, Hillary Clinton. 

After what Kevin McCarthy said, it's difficult to accept at least a part of it was not. I think that's the way Washington works. But you'd like to expect more from a committee that's spent millions of dollars and tons of time."

Furthermore a lifelong Republican and former investigator for the committee, Bradley Podliska, has publicly alleged that he was fired from the committee for not targeting Hillary Clinton as much as the committee wanted. 

This partisan witch-hunt, disguised as an investigation, has been going on for 17 months -- longer than the investigation into momentous events in American history like: Watergate, Pearl Harbor, and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. 

Millions of taxpayer dollars have been wasted that could have been better spent solving important issues. Republicans need to disband this sham of a committee, apologize to the American public, and reimburse the Government the $4.6 Million in taxpayer money that they stole to pursue this witch-hunt.
