WeStand4Children is a team of four ladies trying to bring greater awareness to the epidemic of CHILD ABUSE. We feel the public has become immune to the images and facts and we would like to reawaken society to these atrocities.

We are petitioning for alternative treatment solutions for parents that have engaged in child abuse.  This treatment includes better access to free parenting classes and free anger management groups.

By doing so we feel we can impact the world in a positive direction as CHILD ABUSE has far reaching negative effects on its victims and society!

According to the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics as of 2015:

• 5 children die everyday
• 90% of child abuse victims KNOW the perpetrator in some way
• 68%are sexually abused by a family member
• In the United States alone more than four children die from child abuse and neglect on a daily basis. Over 70% are below age 3
• 80% of 21 year old adults who were abused as children met the criteria for at least one psychological disorder

CHILD ABUSE is defined as "when a caregiver either fails to provide appropriate care (neglect), purposefully inflicts harm, or harms a child while disciplining him or her".  We believe this can be prevented primarily BY BRINGING AWARENESS TO THE POLICY MAKERS FOR CHILDREN'S ISSUES AND FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC SO THAT WE CAN PROVIDE TREATMENT FOCUSED AROUND BETTER PARENTING AND ANGER MANAGEMENT.

This issue hits home for our team because many of us were victims of child abuse and now we feel the urge to give back and to try and help other children who are still suffering from this fate.
