Yesterday we reported on the latest high-profile example of a biased, guilt-presuming "victim-centered" investigation -- this one involving former Virginia governor Doug Wilder, who is now a professor at Virginia Commonwealth University.
In response to the university's finding of "non-consensual kissing," Wilder has now filed a contesting statement. These are some of his choice comments:
- "The deliberate and calculated omission of this evidence is indicative of bias and constitutes a gross violation of due process"
- "One is only left to speculate as to why the External Investigator chose to consider only the inconsistent statements Complainant made to her roommate and mother in deciding whether Complainant was truthful in her claim that Wilder kissed and touched her and not all of the above referenced inconsistencies."
Wilder concludes his statement with this scorcher: "the External Investigator’s reasoning is, inter alia, unsound, biased and violates due process....This glaring inconsistency in the External Investigator’s findings is beyond explanation, demonstrates a blatant bias against Wilder. and a fair and impartial determination and should disqualify the External Investigator from any further proceeding in this matter."
