The Fairness Doctrine (1949-1987) required broadcasters to present both sides of political or controversial issues in an equal and honest way.

THE ONLY WAY TO LESS DIVISIVENESS IS BALANCED REPORTING. Without it the Information Age has become the Age of Disinformation. What the critics of repealing it said would happen has unraveling right before our very eyes. Our nation must do better to face the challenges now and ahead.
