To prevent the constant attack on software, websites and consumers from the MPAA member companies (Disney, Fox, Sony, Paramount, WB), the rights of consumers need to be reaffirmed in legislation.
* The right to make back-up copies of media. (music, movies, games)
* The right to convert media from one format to another. (DVD to MP4, CD to MP3, etc.)
* The right to play purchased media on any device.
* The right to use excerpts of any media for fair use purposes. (parody, discussion or criticism)
