Congress, continue to resist student loan lobbyists

Congress, continue to resist student loan lobbyists
The Issue
As I'm sure you're aware, in most wealthy, developed countries college education is free or heavily subsidized, but in the U.S., students pledge much of their earnings for many years. Government has helped with benefits like Pell grants and low-cost loans, but, a large portion of the profits go to private lenders while Government bears the risks. The House passed a bill that administers loan funds through the colleges, reduces the often ruinous debts of students, and eliminates subsidies to no-risk lenders, yet more needs to be done. The Senate, however, continued to dither, in the past. It is continuously time the Senate acts to pass similar and stronger sorely needed bills, now. reality
