Conduct Mock General Elections to Highlight Underrepresented Voters' Opinions

Conduct Mock General Elections to Highlight Underrepresented Voters' Opinions
The Issue
Over the years, our great nation's politics has become an arduous tug-of-war between the Conservative and Labour parties. Since 1918, no other party has been able to break through this polarity to hold the reins of power. This has led to a disillusionment among the populace; a feeling that their votes bear little relevance as they are confined within the constraints of this two-party system.
Personally, being a part of a society that yearns for an active role in determining their leaders, this situation strikes me as deeply unjust. Many of the young adults I come across, in the 18-30 age bracket, claim to vote for Labour, not out of genuine support, but in an attempt to prevent the Tories from retaining power.
With this petition, I propose a call for three mock general elections with diverse line-ups. The first one should exclude a Tory candidate running, the second should ensure no Labour candidate is running, and the third should involve neither the Tory nor the Labour cabinet's running. This unique exercise will help us obtain a more accurate representation of voter opinions and highlight the demographic of voters who feel marginalized.
The stark contrast in participant numbers, voting results, and the diversity of voters in these mock elections would shed light on the portion of our society whose voices get smothered in our current political framework. It's critical to bolster the democratic fabric of our nation and listen to every citizen's voice. Hence, it's high time we explored alternatives to broaden our political horizon.
Please sign this petition to promote political diversity by making room for underrepresented voices. Let's shake up the status quo for a more comprehensive and representative democracy!
