Ես, որպես Կանադայի հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչ, խստորեն դատապարտում եմ 2023 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 15-ին ՀՅԴ հովանու նորքո գործող Հայ Երիտասարդաց Միության մի խումբ երիտասարդների՝ Կանադայում ՀՀ դեսպան Անահիտ Հարությունյանի մուտքը  դեպի Թորոնթոյի «Հայ Կեդրոն»-ում Հայաստան Համահայկական Հիմնադրամի դրամահավաքի միջոցառմանը արգելափակող գործողությունները:

Կանադայի հայ համանքում գործող քաղաքական, կրոնական, բարեգործական, մշակութային կամ այլ բնույթի կազմակերպություններից ակնկալում եմ, իսկ իմ կողմից անդամակցած կազմակերպություններից նաև պահանջում, որ իրենք ևս խստորեն դատապարտեն վերը նշված, ինչպես նաև Օտտավայում ՀՀ դեսպանատան շենքի վրա ներկ լցնելու Հայ Երիտասարդաց Միության ամոթալի և որևէ հայ հայրենասերի կերպարին անհարիր գործողությունները: Արտահայտելով իմ հիացմունքը միջադեպի ժամանակ ՀՀ դեսպան տիկին Անահիտ Հարությունյանի բարձր կեցվածքի նկատմամբ՝ դատապարտում եմ նրա անձի հանդեպ նման անհարգալից վերաբերմունքը: Միաժամանակ համոզված եմ, որ այդ երիտասարդների վերոնշյալ անպատվաբեր գործողությունները հարվածում են ոչ թե ՀՀ ներկա իշխանություններին, այլ հենց Հայաստանի  Հանրապետությանը և նրա ներկա իշխանություններին ընտրած Հայաստանի Հանրապետության քաղաքացիներին: 

Խստիվ դատապարտում եմ նաև Հայ Երիտասարդաց Միության Թորոնթոյի «Սիմոն Զավարեան» մասնաճյուղի կողմից իր ամոթալի գործողություններով Սփյուռքի անունից հանդես գալու փորձերը: Ոչ մի առանձին վերցրած կազմակերպություն, այդ թվում՝ Հայ Հեղափոխական Դաշնակցությունն, ու առավել ևս՝ նրա հովանու տակ գործող  ՀԵՄ-ը, իրավունք չունեն հանդես գալ ողջ Սփյուռքի անունից: Սփյուռքը բազմաշերտ է, և նրա որևէ կազմակերպություն իրավասու է հանդես գալ միայն և միայն իրեն անդամակցած անձանց անունից:

As a member of the Armenian community in Canada, I strongly condemn the recent actions of the Armenian Youth Federation, operating under the guidance of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF). Specifically, their actions in blocking Ambassador of Republic of Armenia to Canada, Her Excellency Anahit Harutyunyan's entrance to the Armenia All-Armenian Fund's fundraising event at the Toronto Armenian Community Centre on October 15, 2023, were totally unacceptable. I also find their act of pouring paint on the building of the RA Embassy in Ottawa deeply troubling and far from the principles of Armenian patriotism.

I call upon political, religious, charitable, cultural, and other organizations within the Armenian community of Canada to condemn unequivocally these acts. Those organizations I am a member of within this community, I demand that they voice their disapproval of what happened in no uncertain terms.

I want to express my deep respect and admiration for the poise and dignity displayed by Ambassador Anahit Harutyunyan in the face of such disreputable conduct. It is regrettable that she had to endure such discourtesy. I firmly believe that the dishonorable actions of these young people are not just an affront to Armenia's current government but rather to the Republic of Armenia as a whole, including its citizens who elected the current authorities of Armenia.

Moreover, I condemn the "Simon Zavarian" branch of the Armenian Youth Federation in Toronto for purporting to represent the entire Armenian Diaspora through its recent shameful actions. No individual organization, including the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and certainly not the AYF operating under its banner, has the authority to speak or act on behalf of the entire Diaspora. The Diaspora is a complex and multifaceted entity; as such, any organization within it can only legitimately claim to represent its own members.
