Concert tickets need to be cheaper

Why?

• The average price for concert tickets is €75, 
• The price for the tickets keeps going up, mainly because of energy- and transportation costs getting higher. The expectations of the concerts also get higher, which leads to needing to increase the price of the tickets
• Teens and young adults don’t typically have the money to spend on a concert which limits their cultural development.
• Everyone should be able to go to a concert even if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on tickets.
• Smaller artists and bands sell tickets to shows for around €30, - so if they can than people like Taylor Swift and Travis Scott can too.

How?

• Don’t go to overboard on lights, stage and background props this way there doesn’t need to be a big amount of money spend on the stage making it so that tickets can be cheaper.
• The artists/band/preformer makes a little les money this is fair because most artists already make tons of money on Spotify and other streaming services.
• Have cheaper tickets for people that don’t have the money to spend on expensive tickets.

The goal of this petition is to make the price of concert tickets cheaper. Because right now it is way to expensive with a average price of €75, and it keeps going up because of energy and transport price.

We believe that it should be way cheaper because teens and young adults don’t typically have the money to spend on such an expensive ticket, there for limiting there cultural development. We also think that everyone rich or poor should be able to go to a concert and have the opportunity to develop cultural knowledge and have a good time. 

And another reason why is the fact that smaller bands and artists their tickets are a lot cheaper at a price of around €30, so why do those bigger artists their tickets have to be so expensive.

Now you might ask, how would you be able to make tickets a lot cheaper en better available for people that don’t have a lot of money to spend? So here are a couple of ways and ideas to do exactly that. Starting with making so that the artists or band doesn’t go to overboard on the lighting, props and stage, so that the transportation en energy bills won’t be so high making it so that tickets lower in prices. Another idea is to make it so that the artists or band makes a little les money. This would be fair because most big artists and bands already make a lot with streaming platforms, merch and other things.

Another idea is to make budget tickets for the people that don’t have a ton of money to spend on tickets. And last but not least to stop people from buying tickets to resell them later for way more money. This makes it so that tickets are sold out in minutes and that the price then goes up, there for concerts should have a limited number of tickets you should be able to buy per person, and reselling tickets should not be an option anymore.
