We are writing to express our concern as a resident of Laman Rimbunan regarding the recent approval of Alam Flora contractor to station their rubbish trucks in close proximity to our residential area, as evident in the attached photo.

While we understand the necessity of waste management services, we are genuinely disappointed by the decision to permit the placement of these trucks right opposite Laman Rimbunan. We seek clarification on the rationale behind approving such a location, considering its close proximity to housing estates and new developments. Currently, the Kepong community is already grappling with unpleasant odors emanating from a nearby rubbish dump, and the presence of these trucks only exacerbates the issue.

We kindly request that Dewan Bandaraya provide insights into the reasoning behind this decision. Moreover, we would appreciate information on whether this is a long-term arrangement or a temporary measure. The unsightly appearance of the trucks and the additional foul smell they emit are causing distress among the residents of Laman Rimbunan.

We sincerely hope that Dewan Bandaraya will consider addressing this matter promptly and implementing measures to mitigate the impact on our community. Your attention to this concern is highly appreciated, and I look forward to a positive resolution.
