Tired of being robbed by Con Edison, many people are. Many people pay for Electricity, Gas or both, many people are on a fixed income, many people cannot afford their Con Edison bill but they manage to pay it; after all we need light and gas. What we don't need is to be robbed. Con Edison is a necessity yes, but it should be billed correctly not based on an "estimate". Being billed based on an "estimate" is just a way of Con Edison lining their pockets with money that is not rightfully due to them; let’s call it "advanced payment" or "bonus money". Since Hurricane Sandy, Con Edison has been producing bills to many, many people, some who do not have homes, much less a Meter; many Meters were damaged and/or removed by Con Edison or their Contractors but yet Con Edison was/is still generating and billing people who don't have meters...there is no Meter to "read nor maintain", yet this is a charge that is part of our monthly Con Edison bill which Con Edison wants payment for.

Ever received an "Estimated" bill? Let me explain what that is, I have a direct quote via email from a Con Edison representative, "Estimates are based upon the usage from the prior year, during the same time frame. If a customer did not use service at the location, then it will be based upon the prior tenant because the system understands only numbers not name change." Does this seem legal or fair to you? "Based upon usage from the prior year or based upon the prior tenant if you didn't live at that location". If the system only understands numbers and there are no numbers to read, what is it reading? Again, does this sound legal or fair to you? 

Let’s address the other charges/fees on your bill, how about those "Delivery Charges (which always seems to be higher than the Usage Charges) and Triple Taxes", who and what is GRT???

I have spoken to many, many people who are also having issues with Con Edison for one reason or another.                               

It is time we take a stand, enough is enough; we need to get Con Edison Audited and Evaluated, something is amiss.

Let’s get some answers because; if we stand for nothing, we fall for anything.
