Spider-Man has swung into the hearts of generations of fans and has become one of Marvel’s most enduring heroes. But his enormous history across film, television, animation, games, shorts, educational programming, and other media remains scattered across different services—or, in some cases, difficult to find legally at all.

We are asking Disney, Marvel, Sony Pictures, Disney Plus, Hulu, Amazon and Prime Video where relevant, and other rights holders and partners to work together toward one goal: create the most complete official Spider-Man and Spider-Verse digital library possible on Disney Plus.

This should not be limited to the most famous Spider-Man movies. A true Spider-Man collection should celebrate and preserve the entire history of the character—including the things many people may not even know exist.

Where licensing and distribution rights permit, we ask that this Spider-Man hub include:

Live-action Spider-Man films and television, including the modern films as well as historical productions such as the Nicholas Hammond The Amazing Spider-Man television series and related CBS productions.
Animated Spider-Man television series, from the earliest cartoons through the 1990s series and subsequent generations of Spider-Man animation.
Spider-Verse animated films, shorts, specials, and related productions, including stories featuring Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen/Ghost-Spider, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Punk, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, Peni Parker, and other members of the wider Spider-Verse.
Rare and historically important Spider-Man productions, including Spidey Super Stories from The Electric Company and the Japanese live-action Spider-Man television series.
Official Spider-Man public-service announcements, educational cartoons, promotional shorts, and similar historical material. These small pieces of media are also part of Spider-Man’s cultural history and deserve to be preserved.
Related Spider-Man and Spider-Verse films, series, specials, characters, villains, and symbiote stories where the appropriate rights holders can reach agreements to make them available.
A Marvel Games archive featuring legally licensed and curated Spider-Man video-game material, such as story cutscenes, cinematic sequences, trailers, story-recap shorts, historical features, and behind-the-scenes material. This could preserve the history of Spider-Man games while encouraging fans to discover, replay, or seek out older games.
Official Marvel motion comics, animated comic-book adaptations, and comic-based video presentations connected to Spider-Man and the Spider-Verse.
Documentaries, behind-the-scenes features, interviews, making-of specials, archival promotional material, and other official extras that help tell the story of how Spider-Man has evolved across generations.
The purpose of this petition is not to ignore existing ownership, licensing agreements, or distribution rights. We recognize that Spider-Man’s history involves multiple companies and complicated agreements.

That is exactly why we are asking those companies to collaborate.

Today, parents who grew up with one generation of Spider-Man may have difficulty showing those stories to their children. New fans may never discover older or more unusual parts of Spider-Man history simply because they do not know what to search for. Fans, educators, collectors, and media historians can also find important pieces of that history difficult or impossible to access legally.

A comprehensive Spider-Man hub could change that.

Disney Plus already provides a home for a huge portion of Marvel history. A dedicated Spider-Man and Spider-Verse collection could help preserve decades of entertainment history while giving longtime fans and entirely new generations an opportunity to discover just how enormous—and wonderfully strange—Spider-Man’s history really is.

We ask Disney, Marvel, Sony Pictures, and all relevant partners to begin the conversations necessary to make the most complete Spider-Man digital collection possible.

Preserve the blockbusters. Preserve the cartoons. Preserve the games. Preserve the deep cuts. Preserve the weird and wonderful pieces of Spider-Man history that people might not even know to search for.

Spider-Man’s legacy deserves to be accessible, discoverable, and preserved for future generations.
