Tidbury Green is under threat of losing its unique green character due to speculative proposals by developer Summix to land south of Norton Lane (Fulford Green) and developer Rainier (Rumbush Lane).

These developers are lobbying Solihull Council in order to incorporate their sites into the Solihull Local Plan. This could potentially give the green light to 2,000 new houses drastically altering the village, displace local wildlife and place strain on our current infrastructure, including roads, schools and healthcare services.

To date the Conservative led Solihull council has mismanaged the Local Plan, failing to live up to local promises to ‘protect the green belt’. They have opportunistically blamed the new government for some of their pre-existed housing targets in the borough which risks them falsely using the new government as political cover to build in the green belt around Tidbury Green.

Tidbury Green has already accommodated it’s fair share of new development at Regency Fields and Tidbury Heights.
