The Issue

My personal experience as a former employee at Brynn Marr Hospital has revealed deplorable mental health care conditions. It was during my tenure there that I was terminated for challenging unfavorable policies and procedures. I was appalled to witness cases of verbal assault from the staff towards the patients, orchestrated harm where it was discussed to pay a patient to assault another, and even incidents of staff physically attacking a patient. I have had numerous people with experience either as an employee or patient that have come forth to share their traumatic experiences with Brynn Marr Hospital. These stories include excessive use of seclusion, drug administration, and overall disrespect. As a concerned citizen and advocate for mental health, I posit that Brynn Marr Hospital needs to urgently revamp its practices and make the institution a safe healing environment for those grappling with mental health issues.

Current narrative suggests the hospital endorses a climate of fear and hostility, with staff treating patients horrifically rather than caring for them compassionately. Such an atmosphere could be massively detrimental to the fragile mental health of those trusting the institution with their recovery. It is unacceptable for any healthcare establishment, let alone a mental health hospital, to exhibit such neglect toward patients.

We demand that Brynn Marr Hospital issue an official apology for their wrongdoings, rebrand their policies, enforce a healing-oriented environment, and undertake a comprehensive review of their staff and practices. If the hospital fails to address these issues, repercussions should include possible closure of the facility.

With this petition, we are aiming to safeguard the rights of mental health patients and ensure that they receive proper care in a conducive environment, free of fear and hostility. Please, lend your support to this cause by signing the petition.
