The Issue

Brought forth by Your Favorite DJ Entertainment on behalf of The Trolley, a Peoria landmark serving the community since 1932.

The Trolley has been part of Peoria’s history for over 90 years, and like many small businesses, it faces challenges in keeping its doors open. Live music events are one way we can keep this beloved business afloat, support local entertainers, and bring people together safely.

Recently, concerns have been raised about live music volume. We ask you, as neighbors and community members, to share your thoughts:

Do you consider live music events at The Trolley to be a nuisance, or do you understand that small businesses need community support to survive?

It is important to note that larger venues, such as the Peoria Speedway, regularly exceed sound ordinances and operate later hours — yet they continue without restriction. We believe small businesses like The Trolley should be treated fairly.

By signing this petition, you show support for:

- Local music and musicians

- Small businesses trying to survive- Keeping a historic Peoria gathering space alive

- Fair treatment in comparison to larger venues

We respectfully request that the City of West Peoria and Mayor James Dillon allow The Trolley to continue hosting live music events through December 31, 2025.
