Coach Jeff Zehnder has been the Head Coach of the Wenatchee High School Varsity Baseball Team for the last decade but this week, Coach Zehnder was informed that his coaching contract will not be renewed, without any explanation or reason behind the decision.

Not only does Coach Zehnder hold the best winning percentage of the seven WHS baseball team coaches over the last 58 years, but he also coached the team to four league championships with an overall career record of 150-55.

Additionally, Coach Zehnder helped the program obtain a nearly $1 million donation from an anonymous donor that went toward new batting cages, expanded parking, improved bathrooms, new snack stands, and new infield turf.

Coach Zehnder has not only changed the lives of those who have been through the Wenatchee High School baseball program in the last decade, but he has left a lasting impression on the surrounding family, friends, and Wenatchee community.
