 Subject: Request for Holiday village Road widening from Kanakapura road -Bayanpalya(Vajarahalli) entrance till fairway shoppee. 

 Dear Sir,

We wish to highlight the plight of residents residing in the following apartment complexes – Purva Highlands, ShriramSurabhi and ShriramSymphonye who use the road between Kanakapura road (Vajarahalli)  to Kumarans School Mallasandra to commute.

1.     There are 2000 families staying in the above apartment complexes and near by layouts commuting on this stretch of the road.

2.     There are 100 school buses of Kumarans Schools plying in and out on this road daily

3.     There are about another 80 buses plying for KSSEM college on this stretch of the road.

4.     Apart from this regular traffic, there are heavy service vehicles and construction vehicles plying more than 100 trips per day.

The neck of this stretch connecting Kanakapura road(Biayanpalya Village) is very narrow and leads to heavy traffic jams during peak hours.

All these above reasons contribute in making this stretch;

a.     Dangerous to ply vehicles on during peak hours and night times leading to heavy traffic jams as well and accidents.

b.     Leads in increase in stress levels due to traffic jams, dilapidated road conditions which in turn may lead to complex medical conditions of residents in this area.

We residents would request your urgent intervention in

i.   Taking necessary steps to remove the bottlenecks by road widening at the neck where there are huge traffic jams during peak hours.

ii   Laying of appropriate sign-boards to guide the traffic at this stretch of the road

iii. Installing a traffic signal at junction of kanakapura Road and Vajarahalli road.

 As per BBMP Notification No.EE(RI-RRN)/PR/ 445 /12-13 and Government of Karnataka notification No: UDD 154 BEM RUPRA 2004 dated 18.01.2005, the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike notifies the following list of road identified for road widening and for granting Transferable Development Rights. 

The road under discussion is one of them.  We request your kind self to look into the matter and direct respective departments (under BBMP) to take further action.
