I am writing to you to help save our neighborhood. I live close to a site where a proposed WAWA is being considered. This is NOT a commercial area. There are homes that back up to the proposed site and right across the street.This is a residential neighborhood with hard working people raising families that do not want to live next door to a 24 hour gas station. We have children that ride the school bus that walk to the stops along High Ridge Road. Our roads simply cannot take any more traffic. We take our children to school on these roads every morning and bring them home every afternoon. We walk and ride bikes to our relatives that live in the neighborhood. We also have a lake very close by that the run off of this gas station would pollute. This lake also serves as a watershed to our drinking water. We DO NOT want or NEED another gas station. We have 4 within a half mile of the proposed site. We do not want any more crime, pollution or decrease in our property values. Wawa can go somewhere else where there is a more commercial element; NOT in a quiet and quaint neighborhood. Please hear our voices and listen to our input. Also, this same project was denied 3 years ago. What has changed?? We still LIVE here. Please do not let our neighborhood become a truck stop! We do like WAWA just NOT in our backyard.
