Relying on non-profits and the general community to pick up trash when public disposal is not provided leads to trash flowing into drains the river then the Gulf of Mexico. Recent reports shows tons of plastic waist in the Gulf of Mexico.

• Pay people to pick up trash and recyclables at public parks, streets and the river bank. 

• Provide trash, recycling and compost next to each mail box, along the river,  resedental and commercial corners.
