Layne Staley was the lead singer of Alice In Chains who tragically passed in 2002. His music and loving personality touched millions of people across the globe and will forever be one of the most influential people that came out of the city of Seattle. The city currently celebrates the lives of many talented musicians including Chris Cornell, Kurt Cobain, and Jimi Hendrix. I am petitioning for the city of Seattle to create an official memorial, whether that be a statue or a designated area, to celebrate the life and music of Layne Staley.
