Combat Parental Alienation in Georgia and Across the United States

The Issue

As a parent who has experienced the crushing pain of parental alienation, I know just how devastating its impact can be. In 2017, the once strong bond that existed between me and my eldest son was utterly dissolved. It felt like a cruel act of betrayal, as though my heart was being ripped apart and the very essence of my life essence was being subdued. An indescribable pain set in when my mother passed away, her final breaths filled with wishes to see a grandson now separated from us by a wall of misbelief and deception.

Parental Alienation is a silent monstrosity creeping through our society. It's a cancer that erodes the threads of familial bonds, causes emotional distress, and serves as the breeding ground for long-lasting psychological issues. Innocent children are unjustly taught to dismiss one parent, their siblings, and other immediate relatives -- an act akin to kidnapping and Stockholm syndrome.

Adding salt to the wound, the family court system appears to be entangled in the cobweb of the perpetrators, rendering it incapable of providing a fair, empathetic resolution. It's high time we address this crisis, not just for the sake of affected parents like me, but for our children, who are the innocent victims, and our future generations.

Data from the Journal of Family Violence estimates that over 22 million parents in the United States are victims of parental alienation - an alarming figure that can no longer be ignored. Let's unite and place collective pressure on our lawmakers in Georgia and beyond to implement legislation that can protect our children and consequent generations from the grievous harm of parental alienation.

No more shaming. No more silence. Stand beside parents and children suffering from this torturous grief! Let's pave the way for a world where every child can love and be loved by both their parents without a whisper of dread or anxiety. Please, sign this petition and help us combat Parental Alienation for the sake of families everywhere. Our children deserve to be surrounded with love and not lies.
