Change the logo back to Rogers Gate

Change the logo back to Rogers Gate
The Issue
Columbia College is a school rooted in history and tradition. The logo created by Dr. Gerald Brouder, when he arrived at the College, combined the symbol Delta, symbolizing 'change,' and Rogers Gate, named for Joseph Kirtley Rogers, the third college president. Rogers Gate is named to honor his role in keeping Columbia College open during the Civil War.
For an institution that attempts to set itself apart with tradition and history, removing the symbolic Gate and replacing it with a commerical, bland, and elementary looking "CC" is not in alignment with the College's belief system nor does it reflect what Columbia College is truly about.
As an alumna and Rogers Gate award winner, I am now embarassed to share with other people where I spent four formative years of my life. I take no pride in the new logo and feel it does not represent the College or the education I received.
In conversations with current students and fellow alumni, the "CC" has been compared to hoop earrings, MasterCard, a business - not a school, a child's drawing, and many more insulting comparisons. Please sign if you, too, are in favor of bringing back the Rogers Gate logo as a real and genuine symbol of a school that is "real" and "serious about education."
We are not that "CC."
