The Governor cannot enrich himself with public funds but developers controlling metro district boards do it every day. Making Colorado housing more and more UN-affordable.
Contact the Senators below to stop self-dealing developer debt - their committee (Senate Local Government) meets tomorrow, Tuesday March 28 at 2:00 pm.
The Industry won in the House passing the industry bill that will legalize self-dealing developer debt at the expense of residents.
But, the opposite bill, HB23-1090, is still alive and will be heard by the Senate Local Government Committee tomorrow. Let them know the abuse of self-dealing developer debt must stop.
Here is the hour of debate in the House over the industry bill SB23-110. Metro District Abuse won on a vote of 40 to 24, let by Rep. Kipp and Taggart.
The misinformation presented by Rep. Taggart regarding "municipal advisors" hired by the developer and the role of the Service Plan is particularly egregious. Victims of metro district abuse know better.
Yet, with all Rep. Taggart's and Kipp's "preparations" to present this legislation, they never asked the residents. They only talked to the people making the money, not paying the money. This abuse has to stop.
