With so many thefts and home invasions happening in Colorado we need new laws that not only allow us to use deadly force while trapped in our homes in immediate danger for our lives. But we need to be able to use deadly force to protect our property as well. Our home is our sanctuary and our property belongs to us. If a criminal decides his life is worth the car or bike or television that is their choice. We should not continue to allow ourselves to be pillaged by criminals that in the long run have more rights than their victims. I propose that we need new legislation to put the power back in the hands of the people. I believe that a right to use deadly force to protect home and property would do just that. I also believe that this would significantly lower crime in our great state. I have heard from many people is it worth taking a human life over a bike. When if we had the right to use deadly force it would be criminals asking is the bike worth dying for.
