Colorado Springs Park and Rec should allow a 7th & 8th grade fall Football team. There are a lot of kids that attend Charter schools here in Colorado Springs. It is difficult for these kids to join D11 teams, as often times, the other kids are not very accepting.  My son ran into this last fall. We signed up with our "home" school. These kids were not accepting at all. Even though there were a couple kids he had played prior Park and Rec seasons with.  With playing for a Park and Rec team, there is none of that awkwardness. Sometimes kids have played prior seasons with each other, but are always welcoming of new kids. Park and Rec teams bring more diversity as well.

Also, I think kids from all school districts should have an additional option for fall football. There are instances when the coaching staff is just not a good fit for a family. Or the family has a tough time getting kids to and from practices.  A few D11 schools combine and it may be tough to get a kid to practice right at 4pm. Allowing a Park and Rec team could fill the gaps for these families.

This Park and Rec team could play the other D11 schools. This would allow an additional game to the season. They would benefit from playing 7 games just like a regular Park and Rec season.
