update 6/9/2024

It’s now June 9th and I am anxiously waiting on El Paso County to do the right thing…to do what they promised. If not, I will go back to the news. I said it before and I meant it. I am NOT going away! My son deserved better. We were robbed of a future with him. His little sister, is heartbroken and continues to struggle emotionally. The pain of losing him has not gotten better. They KNEW this was a dangerous area. They are murderers! There have been several more accidents at that same location. They better hope that there isn’t another death.

Update: 8-8-23 Jaedon's 22nd bday

El Paso County public works officer Jack Ladley has not been returning my calls. Our last communication was in January 2023 when he told me that I would be able to "go before the board and tell your story". I am devastated as there’s been more accidents at that location that stole my son's life. I’m going to need a lot more signatures and I’m going to fight until they fix this.

Update 7/2022

El Paso county department of public works is likely going to fix this road. They are doing the engineering and data survey.  I, his mom will be going before the county board to tell my story in the near future.  Thank you everybody who supported this petition… and those who haven’t please sign as more signatures can help.  My other petition on MoveOn and the countless paper signatures from all the amazing customers at Rocky Mountain Bee Supply where Jaedon was my manager and  Retail Director.  My son touched so many lives here and now he will save them in his death. ❤️

At Palmer Park Blvd and Pima Street there are 2 huge, back to back dips/bumps (drainage area) that have caused multiple drivers to lose control and crash.

My 20 year old son was taking his motorcycle for a quick ride after work.  He came home and said, “It has been too cold to ride to work so I am just going real quick.” He rode down a street he is not familiar with and hit two, large, back to back dips which caused him to lose control and crash.  Jaedon lost his life as a result.  Unfortunately myself and his beloved baby sister were behind him by 8 min and stumbled on the scene to see firemen doing chest compressions on my beautiful boy.  This image of his lifeless body laying in the road is etched in our minds forever.  Jaedon was internally decapitated when his helmet was ripped from his head after getting stuck in the wood fence.  There is a sole witness to this horrific tragedy.

Residents have been complaining about these dips for years.  There have been several crashes due to these dips.  Now a young life lost, a life that mattered to so many in this city.  The Colorado DOT/County/City doesn't care, yet our tax money is supposed to go to the fixing of these roads.  In March 2021, Colorado was at the top of the list of worst roads in the nation.  Jaedon’s little sister is devastated.  Jaedon was an incredibly kind and compassionate young man.  He was full of life, managed Rocky Mountain Bee Supply, kept bees with me and his sister, joined the Air Force and was registered to start college 4 weeks after his death.  Jaedon was a musician, writing his own music, playing guitar and piano.  He looked forward to a future as an artist.  Jaedon was more responsible than most grown men, was kind, giving and incredibly humble.  If you were fortunate enough to meet him, you were most certainly better for it.  Jaedon touched so many lives and continues to do so today.

Do not allow these roads to steal another life.  Hold the County/City accountable.  They should not have "immunity".
