AP students in 2020 are going to be at a disadvantage no matter how College Board alters the examinations (less face-to-face instruction time due to corona, changing the exam format that AP students have been studying for months, the unavailability of past papers for the new format, etc), so it would only be fair if we at least got the option of using our predicted grade as our official AP exam grade. The students that are not happy with their predicted grade should be given the option to do the 45-minute AP exams instead. 

You may think this will cause teachers around the world to give their students higher grades than they would actually earn, but predicted grades based on past performance (official grade transcripts, for instance) would undeniably be far more accurate than a 45-minute at-home exam in which cheating is almost unavoidable.

Many of us are going to university next year so we don’t have the option of cancelling our APs this year and choosing to do them next year instead.

Please consider this proposal. You claim to be for the benefit of students, so listen to what they say.
