Our city, Hanumakonda, had a great history and heritage since at least a thousand years. Many non Telugu people who can't pronounce Telugu properly had ruled over the land and referred to it as Hanamkonda, Hanmakonda or Anmakonda and forced the natives to use the same name. As a modern society, we should correct this mistake and reinstate its original name, HanumaKonda to remind us of our great heritage and legacy of Kakatiyas who left many landmarks which are still great artistic master pieces and engineering marvels. It is high time to make the minor adjustment in spelling as the city is being turned into a separate district. This will also make it consistent avoiding confusion whether all these names refer to the same city or not and consistent in computer systems as well.
