Coke Stop The Choke

The Issue

Plastic pollution is found absolutely everywhere, from the Arctic to Antarctica. It clogs street drains, litters trailways, contaminates our food, pollutes even the deepst depths of our oceans and is even piling up on Mount Everest. And who’s responsible? Big name corporations like Coca-Cola who remain more concerned with greenwashing tactics than resolving the actual problem--their plastic production.

The average American adult consumes between 126 and 142 tiny particles of plastic every day...that’s about 5 grams of plastic each week--the equivalent of a credit card. How? Plastic waste doesn’t degrade naturally, it breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces called 'microplastics' which end up in the food chain through fish and other animals we eat. Is this unavoidable? YES, because company's like Coke refuse to change.

Time and time again Coke has tried to put the emphasis on consumers to take actions that will reduce the environmental impact of THEIR products. From proposing fake solutions to bare minimum cleanup attempts that fail to acknowledge the root of the problem...

But the truth is we exist in an age where technology and innovation have already developed sustainable alternatives to plastic materials. All Coke has to do is choose to do better. Help us push for these deliverables by signing this petition and raising awareness. Share your thoughts with #StopTheChoke !
