This SPORTS PARK would be a travesty for our neighborhood on so many levels. Currently Highway 83 is backed up daily during high traffic times due to the fact it is a 2-lane road and does not currently support all of the traffic from Bayou Gulch down to Hwy 86. It would be an absolute nightmare to content with on the weekends if this sports park is allowed to be built. During National Tournaments, the entrance and exit to Cobblestone Ranch would become backed up all the way to the round-about. Cobblestone Ranch is not the place for a park of this magnitude. We do not want it here, and the fact that a baseball club is willing to finance it is even more of a problem. This is not what we were promised when we approved the current park that is under construction. We do not want baseball/softball tournaments in our neighborhood every weekend through the spring, summer and fall months. Beyond the traffic concern, residents will have to deal with noise and light pollution, RVs camped out during tournaments, trash, increased crime, and a potential decrease in property values. Cobblestone Ranch is NOT the place to build this complex (which includes a 30,000 square foot indoor facility) or any other sports complex of this magnitude. This does not belong in the proposed location and will be a devastating loss to residents if permitted.
