There are many deaths of pets and wildlife from the constant barrage of fireworks for days around each holiday (and sometimes for no reason at all).  There is a 30-60% increase in missing pets every year around the 4th of July.  Many birds die and suffer serious negative effects from fireworks. Other animals such as deer and horses often run in a blind panic; causing accidents, injuries and/or death. Many veterans suffer trauma from fireworks. They’re also very distressing for many babies and children. Not least is that they’re dangerous; they cause injuries, damage to vehicles and property.  Neighborhoods are not a place for fireworks; they create ill will between neighbors and unsightly waste and pollution but most importantly are distressing, disturbing and dangerous for veterans, pets, wildlife and children.
