The way closure orders are currently enforced . There is not a proper support package for the vulnerable victim that is left inside the property, often with mental health issues. Made worst by the impact of the closure orders. These orders are enforced to protect the vulnerable victim left inside. Mainly due to antisocial behaviour and cuckooing. Which leaves that victim even more at a low. A proper support package should be made with the closure order to protect and have a duty of care for the victims. I know there is lack of funding and resources. My daughter died as a result of a closure order being ordered on her property to protect herself and her daughter. No checks were made on her. No checks with neighbours to see if the order was working. No help from any organisation, mental health, social services, local council or police. Perpetrators entered her flat gave her drugs and left her to die. They should not of been in her property. No action was taken against them. Even though the closure order was placed on her property to stop them entering.
What is closure order?
It is a criminal offence to enter a property with a closure order on it. The order is displayed on the door, perpetrators are told not to enter the property. There needs to be a change in the way these orders are being issued. The victims need proper support and protection. Perpetrators need punishing. Else what is the point
