Pittsburgh Public School District seems to believe that its high school students are invincible and immune to freezing weather! 

Though, we understand the importance of Midterms, there is nothing more important that Student and Child safety, something that PPS claims but does not show.

We students, as Pittsburgh Public School District's constituents, believe this to be a disgusting disregard for student and teacher safety. 

Does Pittsburgh Public Schools intend to pay the medical bills that could possibly strike families once they are required to take their child to the hospital for getting hurt in one or of the many ways to get hurt in and through inclement weather?

In this petition, we are formally requesting that they CLOSE ALL SCHOOLS for the 20th of January, 2026.
