In regions where heavy snowfall is a regular occurrence, attending school amidst 15 to 20 inches of snow poses a significant risk to our children. As a parent, I personally refuse to send my kids to school in such weather conditions. Not only is it hazardous, but the roads are treacherous and increase the likelihood of accidents. Snow and icy conditions make walking or driving to school extremely slippery, thereby endangering young lives.

Moreover, cold weather heightens the risk of illnesses. My children, like many others, are vulnerable to falling sick due to the harsh weather conditions. Numerous regions already have policies in place to close schools when weather conditions become dangerous. It is time for our local authorities to adopt such measures, ensuring our children's safety is never compromised for the sake of a few more hours of lessons.
