I am aware that multiple petitions have been made regarding this tattoo/piercing shop and none have been able to shut it down. Maybe this will end up being another one of those petitions, and maybe not. Regardless, if you think about it, why is there even ONE petition trying to get them closed down? Let alone multiple. This shop should not be open not only for the sake of customers, but for the sake of exploited employees. 

As a “worker” at Goshen Ink Therapy I was being taken advantage of by Jake, Jessica and Raven Kinsey for about 7 months doing the opening, the closing, the cleaning, the scheduling of all of their appointments, etc. all on top of piercing under them and making them money. This sounds like a regular job, right? Right. Except when you work a regular job like that you get paid. According to them “I did get paid, just not up to my expectations.” Because making tips and insertion fees only was fair, right? Watching them each go home with $300, sometimes $400+ a night while I left with $20 if I got lucky, was okay right? Employee after employee has left from that workplace and all they will ever do is blame them/us because accountability isn’t a word in their vocabulary. Apart from that, the reputation they’ve made for themselves is absolutely appalling. From unwelcoming and rude service to multiple racism accusations (proven to be true), this shop just has a bad name.

Closing this shop down will prevent future employees or apprentices from going through the same abuse of labor with these people. The owners of this shop (with 25+ years of experience working in this industry) have no idea how to run a business after so long and do not care for their employees or work environment. If they cannot even care for their own people, why would they care for their customers? They have no professionalism whatsoever and all they care for is benefiting from anything they can get a grip on.

All we (past employees) can hope for is that the community can see who these people truly are and put an end to it before more workers get taken advantage of and more customers don’t get the service they are paying for.
