It was 40 below at 9pm. I was warm and watching TV when I heard it, a scratching on my front door and a meowing to go with it. There was a grey cat knocking on the door! This cat was begging for help and it broke my heart! I had to help. But how? There was no place to take her.  The nearest animal shelter in Cloquet closed and the only place to take her was only available to animals found in St. Louis County.        

Minnesota can have some frigid nights during the winter months! -40, sometimes even colder. Carlton County currently has no place to bring the animals that are forced to live out on the streets! Our group, which is 50 strong in just two days, is very passionate about our mission. We are hoping to get as many signatures on this petition as possible so that we can show those we will request funding support from just how much support from the community there is for this very compassionate need.
