Olynthia Hinton was given a 20 year mandantory minimum sentence for distribution of crack cocaine. If she had the powder form of the substance her sentence would have been tremendously reduced. She is a first time non-violent offender and has served 13 years already. Mandatory minimums have created injustices to many citizens and their families. We want to see this injustice made right.
