Clean Up Clogged drainaige in ipil echague isabela: Flood Prevention Campaign
The Issue
The images below show trash blocking the drainage, which is causing flooding. These are waste materials from people—garbage that is not properly disposed of in the right bins, waste that causes flooding, and, above all, garbage that brings harm to us and our community. Here in Ipil, Echague, this is one of the problems we are currently facing. Clogged drainage systems prevent the smooth flow of water during rain, leading to floods. When we step out into our barangay, we are greeted by floods, and from this flood, we can also contract illnesses. So who is most affected by this? Of course, it's us, the people.
The waste we carelessly throw around comes back to us in other ways, such as the floods we experience and the diseases we get from these floods. We, as people, are responsible for creating these problems that harm ourselves and our society. We are the ones who suffer the consequences of not properly disposing of our waste. Just by neglecting to throw our trash in the right bins, we experience significant effects, like the garbage seen in the pictures blocking the drainage, eventually causing flooding. What should be the solution to this?
The solution to this problem is, first, to participate in the programs of our barangay and cooperate with them to ensure our community is orderly. Most importantly, we need to develop the discipline to properly dispose of our trash in the appropriate bins to prevent flooding in our community.
