STOP Claveria LGU 91 Million Peso Loan for public market relocation amid pandemic!

On April 27, 2021, the office of the local chief executive Mayor Celia T. Layus made a request letter addressed to the municipal council requesting authority to avail a Ninety-one Million Five Hundred Twelve Thousand Peso (91,512,000.00) loan with Land Bank of the Philippines for the "relocation of the local public market" at the height of COVID 19 pandemic. This "loan to relocate the public market" is not needed and not the priority of the locality and the people of Claveria. The loan, based on the letter, is fixed procurement and did not pass a thorough and competent manner, legal and competitive process.
We are making a petition to the Mayor, Municipal Council and the people of Claveria to stop this loan. The request must be carefully investigated for anomalies.
