I logged in to our ClassPass Dashboard to see 4 classes in a row with 7 students all on a "free first class" - last month we had 13 students take class for free. When we signed on, we were told that it "doesn't happen that often" - but it's clear that people are making multiple accounts.

Many ClassPass students don't use their real emails or names sometimes. This deteriorates the community that we work so hard to build, and that ClassPass profits from. Not only do we get paid on average 36% of our drop-in rates, we are losing studio members to ClassPass as other gyms and studios open post-pandemic. The slew of "free first class" students drops our earnings down to 28% of our drop-in rates. If studio owners get pushed out of business, ClassPass won't have studios to use anymore - so please take care of us!

I am organizing a petition on behalf of studio owners to ClassPass to remove the "free first class" condition. It is exploitative - and if we can get enough studio owner support, we can start making ClassPass work for us - not the other way around.
