David DeGrasse started this petition to Class action

On Saturday, February 29th, 2020 my family and I recieved news from an outraged member of our community via Social Media that Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetary 'cleaned up' the cemetery. Their way of doing this was by taking nearly ALL of the highly sentimental property which we used to memorialize our loved ones--in this case, my big brother Andrew Ryan DeGrasse who was buried in December 2014. I shared the grief and emotional distress with the many people who have since expressed their frustration with the new disgraceful and under publicized actions of this company. Artifacts left for my brother are littered among the horrifying piles of what hundreds of people have left to cherish their loved ones. Toys from children who played together--used to memorialize fresh graves of their loved ones are among the precious items which Lakeview disgracefully disposed in a trash pile. We do not want families to go through this again,  to see such short and improper notice--who should have to scan each news paper article for a tiny excerpt regarding their 'clean up' to make sure their loved ones memorials aren't trashed as they were over the past few days. They did not notify families involved properly (each families' contact information was on hand to directly notify families) which would be affected, and in doing so cost many people emotionally, and financially. You can't buy back highly sentimental property, and you can't fix broken sentimental property. You can't go back to before this occurence as if it never happened, the damage is done--and we want this to be the last time this ever happens without an advanced, proper and direct notification for all of the families involved. Please sign if you were affected emotionally, financially, or both. Beware if you consider this a final resting place.
