Spring Valley Community Park, located at 600 West Flamingo, Las Vegas, NV 89147 is in poor shape currently and its unsafe for children to play at. Almost three years ago, a portion of the park caught on fire and as of today, it still has yet to be redone. A chain link fence now encases that portion to keep kids off the play equipment. But children have been frequently seen getting past the fence to play. This is unacceptable to our children. Every resident deserves a safe and clean park for their children to play. Parks are the cornerstone to our city and they provide a safe respite for children of all backgrounds and walks of life. No child should ever have to risk their safety because a park has been neglected. Spring Valley Community Park needs a major overhaul and we, the parents of Clark County, request that the city address this request seriously and in a timely matter.
