Wildlife rehabilitation area in danger of being destroyed. I am one of very few permitted Ohio Wildlife rehabbers. Under that permit it’s my job to give them a safe environment to live for the two weeks before release back to the Wild. Recently a neighbor came over On our property and seriously damaged many of the trees providing homes and shade to these animals. This person says he doesn’t care it’s not his property and doesn’t care about the damage he’s doing to the Wildlife. He has no respect for anyone’s property or their belongings.  Without these much needed trees the animals will not have a safe place from the elements to stay while adjusting to the outdoors before release. If I can’t provide a safe place for them I can not rehab them meaning many animals will die without the much needed help! There are not many rehabbers in our area. I notified the Police, Sheriff department and City official but little or nothing is being done to help protect the animals here. Trespassing should be punished and held accountable but it is not. We are doing what we can to protect the animals here but we need your help! Please help us make the City of Xenia protect this area and make it illegal to remove these trees and cause further damage to the area.
