Having issues living in Chapman Heights and living on the golf course? Than this is the right petition to sign. My family and I have lived in Chapman Heights for 7 years and our backyard is the golf course. We didn't think or were told that we were going to have such an issue with golf balls. All we saw was the beautiful scenery and the fact that we have no backyard neighbors. Since the golf course opened back up in summer 2020 they have been super busy with constant golfers so that means more hits, more stucco damage, more broken windows, and more cars getting dents and windows shattered. I've had my car which is parked on my driveway get hit 4 times in a week. My 8 year old son almost got hit in the head being on the side of the house in the front, my daughters window got shattered, and just recently I had another window get shattered. I confronted the golfers and took a video of them and called the police. And nothing was resolved. And as always, they were in denial and they had the audacity to say "well, you live on a golf course". Right there, that showed they were guilty. And, there were no other golfers around. Also, the sheriff went and spoke to the manager Scott, and as always he did not care to do anything. I am done with this. So sick of this. The city of Yucaipa won't do anything to help, the golf course won't do anything to help, and Chapman heights HOA just says to get approval to put a net up. So basically they won't help either. A net the HOA is referring to will not protect 100% and especially when balls go over to the front of our homes. And, they aren't cheap either. Something needs to change with this. Chapman HOA needs to add home damage from golf balls to the HOA. What else do we as residents pay for? Our monthly HOA fee is $72 and going up to $75 in September. All I see that we pay for is the gardening. That's a lot of money just only going towards the landscaping companies. Golf ball damage needs to be included in the HOA. Any broken windows, stucco damage, and dents on our vehicles the HOA needs to pay for the repairs. A huge golf net is what is needed alongside the homes right off of the golf course. We need protection!!!! What is it going to take, one of our kid's or us or our spouses to get hit in the head the wrong way and get critically injured or even die. Or get a window shattered as you are walking by and get showered on with glass?! I am done!! We need a change. We need something done! A huge NET is needed!!! WE NEED MORE PROTECTION!!!
