YarraBend in Alphington is one of Melbourne's latest community developments. It was marketed as the 'World's most liveable suburb' yet the developer and their subcontractors don't espouse those values now that residents have made YarraBend their home. The eternal roadworks and fenced off community areas including parking has now started to have an overflow effect onto existing residents. Plus they want to expand residences above and beyond what has been approved by council with no additional parking or facilities.

The project is now plagued with delays, unfinished works in all directions and residents who can't enjoy their new homes to make them a home. Contact with the developer or their contractors is either ignored, met with legal threats, false social media posts or their latest tactic of acts of physical intimidation by male employees towards residents.

WE LIVE HERE NOW! It should be a time of great glee and enjoyment. We shouldn't be surrounded by barricades, fallen bollards and countless pieces of rubbish strewn by thoughtless construction crews. We are a community and to build that together we need finished and clean streets and an end to the roadworks.
