The Issue

My 8-yr-old daughter, Coco, recently noticed that geese and goslings are getting hit and killed by motor vehicles on Reynolda Rd, as they cross from the wetlands of the Poindexter Wildlife Preserve to the parking lot across the street. That stretch of Reynolda road has five lanes of traffic, and cars are constantly speeding through the area. She and I recently watched a goose try and get her two remaining goslings across the road, with no luck.

Coco is ready to do something, and would love the city to find a way to protect those waterfowl. Signage indicating this is a crossing place would be a great first step, but we are also researching other ways that could help make this area safer for them. Please add your name to this petition to be a part of the solution! Thanks for your support!
