I wanted to again thank every one of you who has taken up this issue. The number of people pushing for accountability through this petition, phone calls, emails, and social media posts in the last 24 hours has been an amazing thing to watch. VPD announced today that there is an ongoing investigation of the incident. While this is a great first step, it is not yet a victory. We need to keep the pressure on to make sure that the VPD knows how seriously we take this. 

We will need to begin to organize. For any person who was hit by this vehicle, please reach out to me. We are hoping to organize a civil suit against the driver. In addition, anybody who directly witnessed the event is encouraged to get in touch. You are a valuable asset to this cause.
