To add Traffic control on an accident black spot
Elm Park, Vancouver (West 41st Ave and Elm St)

I live at this intersection and I see almost every week there is a car accident happens at this crosswalk, the highest record was 3 accidents within few hours. Sometime cars ran into sidewalk, or fence of a house, or even pedestrian. There are so many kids walking across the intersection because It’s by the Elm park. Not only people walking in and out of the park are in danger, those who walk along the sidewalk or even crossing the cross road are in danger too.

Today there is an old lady ran by a speeding car again. Most of the drivers who doesn’t live here think after the larch street is like a highway to UBC, they keep going very fast on west 41th Ave , they did not realize there is a crossroad, a park, or even there are people crossing the intersection. When they do, it’s kind of late because they can’t slow down and this is how the accident happened.

The city need to do something at least a traffic light, 30km road sign by the park, speed bump, or those flashing speed limit sign whatever it works. 

we need to step out because we all care about our community safety by raising our voice to the city, if everyone of us who lives in this beautiful neighborhood will sign this petition that would make the city of vancouver to do something on it.
