Hello Tacoma community members, thanks for your continued support in the fight for Black Lives. 

In a time where we are on the forefront of radical change within our society and in our country, we DEMAND that we are allowed to speak at our City Council meetings EVERY WEEK. The Tacoma City Council is working to employ and implement new processes to dismantle systemic racism, per their adopted Resolution no. 40622, and without the voices of our People, and especially our BIPOC communities guiding the way and providing insight through personal experience, we don't believe that we will see the change that is necessary.

We are here to tell the City Council that WE WANT OUR VOICES TO BE HEARD. The Council discusses new agenda items every single week, and to fit a month's worth of discussion and discourse into 90 seconds is insulting to our democracy and civic engagement.
